Daruma straps are hand made by local artisans
Each strap is unique, and represents the intricate handiwork of several people working together to make each strap.
Produced with eco friendly clay, the straps all depict a smiling Daruma, a traditional Japanese symbol of perseverance and good luck.
Daruma straps are sourced from Daruchan No Ouchi, one of the foremost shops specializing in Daruma in the country.
The owner Keiko Kiyama has been in the artisan business for over 15 years and is often invited to speak across the country and on television on the Daruma art forms.
